TV Installation Manual
Step-by-step guide for hotel IT installing a new TV. Covers factory reset, OOBE, enabling Network ADB, and running the provisioning tool. Includes troubleshooting.

Provision TVs straight from an Android phone over the hotel WiFi — no laptop needed. Install the APK (allow "unknown sources"), join the same WiFi as the TV, and run it.

Register a TV by hardware ID and room number. Normally staff scan the QR code shown on the TV, which opens the registration page for them.

Kitchen Display URL
Bookmark this URL on a tablet or wall-mounted screen in the kitchen. It shows incoming orders in real time, plays a chime on each new order, and does not require an admin login.
Anyone with this URL can view + advance orders for this hotel. The URL is signed, but treat it as a kitchen-only secret. To rotate, change the TOKEN_SECRET env var on the server.

Flight schedule airports ✈️
Pick up to 3 airports whose live arrivals/departures show in the home-screen ticker and the Flights card. Set a slot to — None — to exclude it. Leave all on — None — to auto-pick the nearest airport(s) to the hotel's weather location.
Guest Casting
Print a room's QR and place it by the TV. A guest scans it, taps Link this TV to my phone, and can then cast Google Cast–enabled apps (e.g. YouTube) to only that room's TV for their stay. Needs the hotel's casting appliance (the in-room mini-PC) online on the guest WiFi. Note: Netflix and Spotify do not use Google Cast (Netflix dropped it; Spotify uses Spotify Connect) — they won't appear as cast targets.
Documents
Upload documents or images to share at the expo (PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, images, and more). Each appears under the Documents card on the TV; a visitor scans the on-screen QR to download it or have it emailed to themselves. Set the card's cover image on the Menu Config tab.
Training Videos
Add internal training videos staff browse on the TV. Upload an .mp4 —
we store it and offer a few snapshots to use as the thumbnail, or upload
your own. Leave the thumbnail blank and the TV shows a clean generated card with the title.
Group videos with a Category (each becomes a row on the TV).
Set the Training Video Base URL on the Homescreen tab first.
Hotel Template
These three picks drive every TV in your hotel — the home-screen layout, brand styling, and background source. Changes save and roll out to all TVs immediately.
Features
Toggle the optional capabilities for this hotel. Each change rolls out to every TV in this hotel within seconds.
Guest phones and the room TVs are almost always on VLAN-isolated hotel WiFi, so a phone cannot discover the TV directly even on the "same" WiFi. Casting only works with our in-hotel CastBridge appliance, which securely relays discovery to the guest's own room TV (and nothing else).
Before turning this on, confirm: (1) a CastBridge appliance is installed and online for this hotel (see the Guest Casting tab), and (2) the casting server URL is set. Without it, the Cast/AirPlay buttons will show no TV. Do not rely on flat/un-isolated guest WiFi as the casting mechanism — it would let any guest cast to any room.
udp:///rtp:// multicast channels. Default (untouched): auto — installed only if this hotel has any udp/rtp Live TV channel. Turn ON to force it; OFF to never install it.
Training Video Base URL (Staff profile)
Glassmorphism Gradient
Two colours mottle together with a soft, blurred glassmorphism effect. Used when the Customer has Homescreen set to Gradient.
Homescreen Overlay
A coloured tint over the background image on Layout 4 (banner stage). Tune until the greeting and menu cards read well against your photos. Set opacity to 0% to remove the tint entirely.

Home-screen ticker
The scrolling bar along the bottom of the home screen. Set a custom message, choose what live info it shows (check-out, sunrise/sunset, dining, currency), and style the bar. Changes save and roll out to every TV in this hotel within seconds.
Branding
Your hotel logo, brand accent colour, and how the logo shows on the Premium home banner. Changes save and roll out to every TV in this hotel within seconds.
Location & weather
The hotel's precise address drives live weather, nearest airports, and travel-time on the TV. Changes save and roll out to every TV in this hotel within seconds.
Guest WiFi
The guest WiFi network shown as a QR on the Premium home banner. Changes save and roll out to every TV in this hotel within seconds.
Live TV Channels
Channel list shown to guests. Set Live TV mode in the Customers tab (RF for TCL tuner, Stream for IPTV URLs, None to hide).
Stream URL is only used in Stream mode. The TV plays both HLS/HTTP .m3u8
streams and raw udp:// / rtp:// multicast (e.g. a head-end's
udp://@225.7.90.108:1234 output, played via libVLC). Get the per-channel address
from the head-end's channel map and paste it here.
Import replaces the current channel list with the CSV's rows. Export the
current list first if you want a backup. Logo URLs (including uploaded /uploads/logos/…
paths) carry across hotels.
App Usage
Which apps guests use most on this hotel's TVs, and a per-screen (room) breakdown. App-level only — we see the foreground app, not the title playing inside it.

Customer ID for this installation
When the installer prompts for Customer ID, paste this value. It's the only field hotel IT needs from the portal.
Integration API key
For connecting a PMS or other system to the Atrium API (guest check-in/out, billing, room service). Send it as the X-API-Key header on every request. Keep it secret. If it leaks, Renew it — the old key stops working instantly.
Guest Casting appliance (CastBridge)
Lets guests cast YouTube / Netflix to their room TV (iPhone & Android). Install on a small Linux box at the hotel with two network connections (one to the TV network, one to the guest Wi-Fi). Run the command below on that box — your Customer ID is already filled in. Full steps: install guide.

Android Installer (phone app)
Provision TVs from an installer's Android phone over the hotel Wi-Fi — no laptop. Install this APK on the phone (allow "install from unknown sources"), connect the phone and TV to the same Wi-Fi, and run it.
Provisioning credentials & installer link
The TV network the TV itself joins (staff / back-of-house — not the guest WiFi) and the shared Google account the TV signs into for Play. Installer-only — guests never see them; the installer injects them onto the TV over adb, so nothing is typed on the remote. Scan the QR with the Android installer, or share the link on WhatsApp.
